It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Molly Maxwell Shellabarger of Mexico, Missouri, born in Auxvasse, Missouri, who passed away on February 20, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth M. Smithee (Lee) and Wilmon Smithee; and her brothers, Wilmon Smithee, David Smithee, Clint Smithee and Dale Smithee.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Shellabarger of Mexico; her children, Joe (Sarah) of Mexico, Steve of Rush Hill and Linda Strode (Andy) of Overland Park, Kansas; her stepson Karl Shellabarger (Jeanne); her grandchildren, Maggie Harrington (Michael), Evan Strode (Caroline), Megan Huez (Tyler), Shannen Maxwell, Madison White, Shana Benedict (Michael), Jason Bowen, Nakia Bowen, Jacob Shellabarger (Dawn) and Kate Haskell (Adam); and her siblings, Betty Knipp (Donal) of Auxvasse, Ronnie Smithee (Phyllis) of Auxvasse and Kenny Smithee (Dawn) of Arkansas. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles.
