He was predeceased by: his parents, Manley Rickman and Rhoda Rickman; his brothers, George, Harold, Frank and Edward Rickman; and his son David L Rickman.
He is survived by: his wife Carol K. Rickman; his children, Rebecca Rickman (Randal Howland), Joseph M. Rickman Jr. (Cindy), Kimberly Crone (Ralph), Alicia McDonald (Ken), Amy Griffin (Jonathan) and Curtis Rickman; and his sister Edna Lance.
