He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Johnson and Mary Lee Johnson (Meteer); his wife Sue Johnson; his children, Van Johnson (Sara) of Montgomery City and Barbara Cope (Ed) of Martinsburg; his niece Sonja Eldridge (Ty) of Mexico; his grandchildren, Mike Johnson of Warrenton, Candy Johnson of Calwood, Michelle White (Barry) of Mexico, Rachael Forman (Brian) of Mexico, Ashley Crum (Jerry) of Martinsburg, Kristin Jurgesmeyer (Mitch) of Mexico, Megan Eldridge of Ballwin and Shannon Beshears (Trent) of Laddonia; his sister Darlene Moore (Don) of New Berlin, Illinois.; his son Chris Wayne Johnson; his grandson Donald Van Johnson, Jr.; and his great grandchild Dylan Michael Crum. He was also cherished by 10 great-grandchildren.
