He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Zimmerman and Ruby Zimmerman (Pruitt); his great grandchild Melissa Gray; and his siblings, Larry Zimmerman, Carol Bjork and Carmen Sobbing.

He is survived by: his close friend Steve Wolfenbarger; his daughters, Mandy Fox (Ben), Lillian and Anna Wolfenbarger; his former wife Margie Zimmerman; his son Mike Zimmerman (Taunia); his grandchildren, Tayler, Drake, Kendyl, Reid and Barrett; his sister Pam Jameson (Rick); his siblings-in-law, Lucille Hunt (Dick) and Chuck Bjork (Bev); and also, Zach, Kameron Gray, Mark Zimmerman (Dana), Alex, Raegan, Seth, Anissa, Jaylen, Dakota, Ziva and Hazel.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
