He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement Rickman and Genevieve Rickman (Todd). He is survived by: his spouse Donna Sprouse; his children, Janice Meier (Robert) of Olathe, Ann Barthol (Kent) and Joel Rickman (Laura) of Washington; his grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob Meier, Brock, Dylan, Luke Barthol, Nathaniel, Grace and Adam Rickman; his siblings, Will Rickman (Carolyn) and Bess Mitchell (Harold); his sister-in-law Cheryl Watson (Art); and his stepbrothers, John Sill (Phoebe), Jim Sill (Dian), Steve Sill (Linda) and Norita Sill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Christian Church, Jon Rickman Electronic Campus Scholarship at NW, or the National Park Foundation are suggested.
