He was predeceased by: his parents, William Casper "Bill" and Anna Marie Stiens (Lehmer); his siblings, William, Richard, John Stiens, Doris Porter and Mary Tobin; and his great grandchild Deryk Degase.
He is survived by: his wife Della Mae Adwell; his children, Robert Stiens (Joyce), Janet Degase (Tim), Gary Stiens (Brenda), Mark Stiens, Joan Wilmes (Vince) and Kevin Stiens (Sonja); and his sister Dorothy Miller. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
