She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Payton Laffoon and Eddith Mae Snapp Laffoon; her husband William J. Maffitt of Barnard; and her son-in-law Victor Turnage. She is survived by: her children, Rev. Bob Maffitt (Meg) of Overland Park and Joyce Turnage of Centerton; her grandchildren, Jeff Maffitt (Katie) of Broomfield, Justin Turnage, Jessica Maffitt (Kevin Slater), Rebekah Weiler and Trent Turnage (Cristi); and her great grandchildren, Jeremy, Jesse, Emma, Elli Turnage, Jayden, Autumn, Zain, Amelia Weiler, Charlie, Harrison Maffitt, James and Ella Grant.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Richmond United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
