He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Young and Maxine Young (Welch); and his daughter Leslie Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Pat Young; his sons, Rocky Edmondson (Mel) of Arrington, TN, Donald L. Young (Georgeanna) of Ottawa, KS and Ronald D. Young of Nixa, MO; his son-in-law William Taylor of South Carolina; and his siblings, Garrett Young of Marshfield, Roger Young of Marshfield, Connie Hackney (Chuck) of Elkland, Beverly Young of Arizona and Judy Greer of Springfield. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
