Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Betty Lou Swanigan of Marshall, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 91, on September 22, 2023. She was predeceased by: her father Freeman Harrison Slavens; her husband William "Bill" Swanigan; her daughter Cherry Lynn; her siblings, John, Gary, Juanita and Mary; her son Danny; and her great grandchild Kree Taylor.

She is survived by: her children, Eugene and Brenda Simmons. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as other extended family and beloved friends.
