He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Summit and Maddie O. Summit (Clonch). He is survived by: his wife Rita Ann Summit (Round); his children, Russell L. Summit (Regina), Randall L. Summit (Susan) and Ronita A. Summit; his grandchildren, Shawn, Stephen (Alexa), Ryan (Carrie), Kelly (Dennis), Jamie (Miranda), Brandon (Eli), Isaac, Jessica and Dorian; and his siblings, Sherman Summit, Charles Summit and Mary Summit.

Memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army at 7701 Rannells Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63143.
