She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son-in-law Michael; her parents, Jeffrey Daniel Speed and Ora Lee Speed (Morris) of Fisher, Louisiana.; her siblings, Lola, Jeffrie, Lillie, Kate, Lonette and Betty; her husband Howard Newton; her stepchildren, Howard Lemoyne Newton, Lonnie Vance Newton and Peggy Sue Newton-Shelby; her grandchildren, Roxane Simone Colley, Michael Douglas Colley and Spencer Gabriel Colley; her daughter Angelee M. Colley Jackson (Michael) of Douglasville, GA; and her grandchildren, Kevin L. Newton of Kansas City, MO, Constance D. Woodson of Albany, NY, Cheryl A. Thompson of San Antonio, TX, Wesley V. Newton of Bloomingdale, IL, Renee M. Wilson of Huntsville, AL, LaMarr E. Colley- of Ogden, UT, Joshua M. Colley (Rebecca) of Topeka, KS and Michael D. Hanson (Deltranee) of Villa Rica, GA. She was also cherished by 25 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She celebrated with family and friends and was honored with a parade and a Covid-19 compliant reception.
