She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Frances Volner and Effie Maude Volner (Johnson); her spouse Arles Black; her daughters, Rebecca Huddleston and Helen Black; and her siblings, Billie Volner and Lurena Sheppard.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Black (Donna) of Viburnum, Randy Black (Melinda) of Shelbyville, Nancy Fred (Ron) of Poplar Bluff, Lora Black of Belleview and Elaine Black of Oates; and her brother Bertie Lee Volner (Fayann) of Rolla. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
