She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hastings and Mary Hastings (Kaffenburger); and her siblings, James, Freddie Hastings, Helen Venable, Ellen and Ruth Hastings.

She is survived by: her husband Jack Maize of Mt. Vernon; her children, Earl "Ray" Maize Jr. (Dawn) of Springfield, Lester Maize (Tracy) of Farmington and Sherry Wethington (Carl) of Mt. Vernon; her brother Robert Hastings of Georgia; her grandchildren, Christina Chandler (Allen), Taylor Maize, Takisha Estes (Donny), Shawnya Meyers (Matt), Parker Maize (Morgan), Aaron Maize and Hanna Maize; and her great grandchildren, Austin Chandler, Riley Estes, Jaxon Estes, Lynise Estes and Claire Maize.
