He was predeceased by: his parents, Winifred Faulkenberry Rayfield and Dewey; his wife Eleanor Wolff; his former wife Pearlie Mae Underwood; and his sisters, Virginia Ryan and Annabelle Schulte.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Rayfield of Park Hills, Rhonda Degrant of Doe Run, Joseph Rayfield Jr. of Middlebrook, Michael Rayfield of Mehlville and Jim Burmeister of Middlebrook. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
