He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Worthy and Bernice Ellen Mahoney (Perry); and his sisters, Laura Jean, Mary Jo and Elizabeth.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Smith; his daughter Becky Jansen (Travis) of Blue Springs, MO; and his grandchildren, Amy Martin (Ryan) of Grain Valley, MO, Josh Launius (Anna) of Independence, MO and Jared Launius (Chelsea Crooks) of Madison, WI. He is also survived by seven great-grandsons.
Memorials may be made to American Legion Post 376 in Shelbina.
