She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Sharp and Wilma Sharp. She is survived by: her husband Bill Crouse; her grandchildren, Ashley (Steve Cox), Rachel Crouse of Fayetteville, Ark, Andrew Crouse of Kansas City, CJ Smith of St. Joseph, Tyler Smith of Nashville, Tenn, Jackson Crouse of Plattsburg and Maggie Crouse of Plattsburg; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua and Gideon Cox of Newbury Park, Calif.; and also, Philip, Brenda Crouse of Smithville, Robin, Wade Smith of Cameron and Kevin Crouse of Plattsburg.

Due to covid there will be no gathering for a visitation, but on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 5 to 7 p. m. the Bross & Spidle Funeral Home at 214 N. Pennsylvania in Lawson will be open for a viewing to pay respects.

Memoriam donations may be made to the Lawson United Methodist Church.

“Melba Sharp was my middle school music teacher. She saw something in me that no one else did. She plucked me out of a group of kids, saw my potential and led me into a musical path. She directed me in my first musical, first solo and gave me a confidence I never had. I have always thought fondly of her and been forever grateful. I am a music teacher and feel she had a huge roll in that pathway. Rip Melba, always loved, respected, remembered.”
