He was predeceased by: his grandmother Violet Goheen; his aunt Judy Favor; his sister Debbie McLallen; and his nephew Ryan Stouffer. He is survived by: his wife Alisha Atkins; his children, Logan (Brandy), Destiny, Luke Atkins and Peyton Atkins; his parent-in-law Vern Jr.; his sisters-in-law, Joe Jackson, Dorenna Jackson, Jeff Jackson and Cindy Jackson; his siblings, Mike Atkins, Delbert (Melody Atkins) and Carol Brown; his brother-in-law Monty McLallen; his daughter Sammy Shaker; his parents, Lori and Gabriel; and also Alice Jackson. He is also survived by husband, father, uncle, brother, God father and friend.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the family.
