He was predeceased by: his mother Molly Vaughn; and his sister Sue Powell. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Vaughn; his children, Mark Vaughn, Debra Smith and Becky Boyd; his siblings, Wayne Yount, Doug Yount, Tommy Jones, Portia Pierce, Marlene Timmons and Darlene Bartlett; and his grandchildren, James Pierce, Michael Pierce, Joey Pierce, Amanda King, Adam Boyd and Emilee Vaughn. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
