He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lampe and Augusta Lampe; and his siblings, Mary "Gigi" Agnes Andresen and Arthur Lampe. He is survived by: his wife Carol Lampe; his sons, Richard J. Lampe Jr. (Meghan) and Andrew Lampe (Kendra); his stepdaughters, Denise McLaurin (Michael) and Rachel Lowe (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Ryleigh Lampe, Rydon Lampe, Reagan Lampe, James Lampe, Chelsea McLaurin, Ian McLaurin, Liam McLaurin, Nina Lowe and Dashiell Lowe; and his siblings, Frank Lampe, Ron Lampe and Peggy Cobb (Gary).

Memorial contributions in Richard's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
