He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Brokaw and Pauline Brokaw (Harrison); his former wife Maxine; his son Jerald Brokaw; his brothers, Dale Brokaw, Oren Ray Brokaw and Charles Henry Brokaw; and his children-in-law, Steve Crawford and Ione Brokaw.
He is survived by: his wife Rilletta; his children, Junior Brokaw of La Plata, Joyce Crawford of La Plata and Janice Brokaw of La Plata; his daughter-in-law Sue Brokaw of La Plata; his stepchildren, Jeff Fredman, Debbie Albright, Donna Thompson and Dana Morgan; his sister Rachel Hoskins of Kirksville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jeff Crawford (Amy), Scott Crawford (Susan), Matt Brokaw (Denise), Tracy Arends (Jay) and Carie Fouch; and his great grandchildren, Brooke, Logan, Weston, Easton, Haydon, Jacob, Tierney, Seth, Ava, Will, Nathan, Joci and Mattie.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials are made to the La Plata American Legion.
