He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Thomas and Pauline Thomas (Hamilton); his former wife Peggy Thomas (Pippin); his grandson Adam Thomas; and his nephews, Jay Thomas and Brian Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Moore (Ron) of La Plata, Carol Ward (Raymond) of High Point, NC, Jeffrey Thomas (Cindy) of Chillicothe, MO and Tracey East (Kevin) of La Plata; his siblings, Donna Zurcher of Kirksville, MO, Patrick Thomas (Yvonne) of Kiln, MS and David Thomas (Katie) of Knoxville, IA; his siblings-in-law, Glen Pippin (Sherry) of La Plata, Loren Pippin (Patsy) of La Plata, Ronnie Brown of Linwood, KS, Eldon Corrick (Jodi) of La Plata, Gerald Corrick (Debbie) of Albion, IA, Marvin Corrick (Andi) of New River, AZ, Mike Corrick (Terri) of Greentop, MO, Verna Buck of La Plata, Janet Lloyd (Martin) of Green City, MO and Linda Walker of Monmouth, IL; his stepsons, Kevin Shouse (Michelle) of Maple Lake, MN and Kurt Shouse (Molly) of Lake Villa, IL; his mother-in-law Corrine Corrick of La Plata; and his grandchildren, Joe Ralston, Jill Beautte, Megan Helm (Jerred), Emily Marshall (Jacob), Amanda Kimmel, Becca Branson, Tina Lewis (Mark), Amy Gaona (Tommy), Miracle Ward, Jeffrey Thomas (Tuesday), Dawn Thomas, Courtney Studenec (Patrick), Nick Sturm, Cameron East (Liz), Lauren East, Jordan Smith (Macy Rogers), Dalton Smith (Morgan Tipton), Cash, Cy Sawyer, Sarah, Courtney Shouse, Jade and Kolton Shouse. He is also survived by many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
It was Jerry's wish that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the La Plata Volunteer Fire Department or the PFC Adam Lee Thomas Scholarship.
