He was predeceased by: his sons, Robby and Frank; and his cousins, Marsha Cook and Dr. Ronald Strong. He is survived by: his wife Regina Lightfoot; his sons, Steve (Letty), Paul, Todd (Jennie) and Eric (Tessa); his grandchildren, Emry, Jaxson and Rhyett; his daughter-in-law Denise McMillian (Ron); his grandchildren-in-law, Crystal, Ronnie and Cody; his grandchildren, Jesica, Adam (Meagen), Elliott and Emmaline; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Aaliyah and Mikeyla; his sister Diane Apa; his nephews, Rick Gooch and Chad Gooch; his sister-in-law Judy Robinson; and his cousins, Annette Boland Sullivan and Orin Mock. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
