He was predeceased by: his father William Dennis Gentry; his half-brother Jeremy Alexander Gentry; his grandparents, Oscar Cecil, Ponsie Marie Gentry, Talbert B. and Alice E. Pope; and his uncle Gerald Max Pope.
He is survived by: his wife Jessica JoAnne Griffin of Kansas City; his mother Patricia "Trish" Lathan (Pope) of Lenoir; his close friends, Jason Andrew LaRose (Mary) of Winston-Salem and Oscar "Dylan" Gentry (Jessica) of Lenoir; his nieces, Eden LaRose and Ivey LaRose; and his pet Kaos. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
