He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustine Batres and Guadalupe Batres; his brother Jamie Batres; and his father-in-law Leo Smith. He is survived by: his wife Karel; his daughters, Jessica Marie Iverson (Jacob) and Lauren Nichole McKnight (Colby); his brother Augustine Batres II; and his niece Angela. He is also survived by in-laws, many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and very close friends.
