She was loved and cherished by many people including: her brother Gary Rollin Welch (Carolyn Welch) of Kansas City; her daughters, Stacey McCarthy (Dan McCarthy) of West Newton and Jody Madler (Peter Madler) of Mount Prospect; her husband James Marshall Whittier; and her parents, Josephine Null Welch and Perry Allen Welch. She was also cherished by grandchildren, three nieces, and two nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her honor be made.
