It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Marie Distefano of Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on July 10, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Klimt and Cecilia Klimt (Keysor); her brothers, Harold Klimt (Sharon), Jack Klimt (Ann) and Keith Klimt; her parents-in-law, Joseph and Katherine Distefano; and her siblings-in-law, John Distefano, John Simone, Sal Cuccia, Rose Esther Cuccia (Distefano) and Sylvia Simone (Distefano).
She is survived by: her husband Nick Distefano; her children, Sam Distefano, Nick Distefano Jr., Angela Distefano (Joe Hovorka) and Theresa Steffen (Doug); her grandchildren, Shera Spencer (Travis), Nichole Beier (Ryan), Michael Molle (Melissa), Tess Sorensen (Brett), Scout Distefano and Joel Steffen; her great grandchildren, Nicky Joe Molle, Michael Molle Jr., Isaiah Molle, Jack Beier (Molle) and Renlee Sorensen; and her brother-in-law Carl Distefano (Trish). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
