He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Winters and Fern Winters (Davis); his stepfather Ray Gorham; and his son David Joseph Winters. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lu Winters (Valk); his daughter Susan Scott (David); his granddaughters, Gretchen Phillips (Reed) and Emily Scott (Alex Garnett); his great grandchild Henry Phillips; and his pet Marmalade.
