She was predeceased by: her parents, Peary Pruett and Mabel Pruett; her husband James W. Bales Sr.; her son James W. Bales Jr.; and her siblings, Robert, Peary Jr., Carl, Roy, Bill Pruett and Esther Bringe.
She is survived by: her brother Kenneth Pruett (Joyce); and her children, Anne Bartholow (Kim) and Daniel Bales (Susan). She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Platte Woods United Methodist Church - Blankets of Hope or Clay County Meals on Wheels.
