He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin and Myra Beatrice Miller Hesse; his sister Catherine Bragg; and his brothers-in-law, A. J. Anderson, Whit Bragg and Henry Wolkey.
He is survived by: his wife Lola Mae Chesnut of Tulsa; his sons, John "Jay" Calvin Hesse (Dawn) and Rick Allen Hesse (Lucretia) of Kahoka; his grandchildren, Michelle Kleine (Keith) of Kahoka, Devin Green (Jodi) of Cedar Hill, MO, Brandon Green (Crystal) of House Springs, MO, Kristopher Hesse of Kahoka, Kodi of Revere and Kelsie Hesse of Revere; and his great grandchildren, Jordan, McKenzie, Riley Cain Green, Chayson, Boden McKay, Graydon Kleine, Zachary, Ayden Allen and Emery Abigail Green. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
