It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Stephenson of Jefferson City, Missouri, born in New Market, Alabama, who passed away on August 24, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Nichols and Janie Mae Nichols (Clark); her siblings, Marie Elliot, James Harvil Nichols, Jr. and Gerald Graham Nichols; her grandson Joshua Schmitt; and her great grandchild Braylee Terlaan.
She is survived by: her husband Robert; her children, Greg Stephenson (Kassie) of Lynchburg, Rhonda Schmitt of Jefferson City, Dawn Korsmeyer (Jim) of Wardsville and Marsha Villalva (Javier) of North Pole, Alaska; and her sisters, Maggie Morse (Vern) and Kathy Omasta (Gene). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children, St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
