He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony William and Agatha Elizabeth Peitzmeyer (Eiken); and his brother-in-law Larry Nilges. He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Nilges and Diane Brandt (Robert "Bob"); and his nieces and nephews, Julie Fischer, Lisa Ivy (Billy), Kevin Nilges (Beth) and Keith Nilges (Patricia). He is also survived by 10 great nieces and nephews; 2 great-great nieces; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family.

Memorials are suggested to the Mid-MO Car Club Scholarship or to the Leukemia Research Foundation.
