She was predeceased by: her father Leander Peter; her sister Doris Berendzen; and her mother-in-law Linda Laudermith. She is survived by: her mother Dorothy Elizabeth Berendzen (Lueckenhoff); her husband Bobby; her son Christopher Lee McDaniel; her stepdaughters, Kimberly Lynn Carter (Jesse), Holly Renee Wiggins (Ashley), Middle Wallop and England; her grandchildren, Oliver McDaniel, Lillian Carter, Jesse Carter, Jr., Jack Wiggins, Charles Wiggins and Sam Wiggins; her siblings, Daniel Berendzen, Barbara Adrian (Brad), David Berendzen (Karen), Mike Berendzen (Vonda) and Mary Surface (Bill); and her father-in-law Howard McDaniel (Sallie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
