He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Jackson and Amanda Mae Watts (Humphrey); his wife Sarah Ann Gutcher; his son Richard Eugene Boots; and his siblings, Kenneth Watts, Hazel Blevins and Jerry Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Boyd (David) of Jefferson City; his sisters, Sue Hagenswold (Walt) of Longview, TX and Carrian Champion of Sacramento, CA; his granddaughters, Melissa Ann Boots, Amanda Nicole Boots-Martin, Kylie Elise Boyd, Rachael Sanford and Josie Bradford; and his great grandchildren, Ada and Jack Martin.
