It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Price McDowell of Jackson, Missouri, born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Lloyd and Virginia "Ruth" Short McDowell; his sister Nancy Cheek; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Swick and Wayne Clark.
He is survived by: his sister Martha Swick Clark of Imperial; and his brothers-in-law, David Cheek of Meza and Jerry Wendel of Sedgewickville. He is also survived by three nieces, three nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and his favorite girl.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Cemetery and to Southeast Missouri Pets in Cape Girardeau.
