She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Kempfe; her brother Roger Schnakenberg; and her siblings-in-law, Mark Matthews, Wayne Hass, Arthur Deuschle, Jr., Bob Salmon and Marilyn Ohrenberg.
She is survived by: her children, Lynette Gates (Michael) of Falls Church, VA and David Kempfe (Amy) of Kansas City, MO; her grandsons, Warner and Landon Gates; her sister Jean Salmon of Warsaw, MO; and her siblings-in-law, Kathy Schnakenberg of Concordia, MO, Carolyn Matthews of Lincoln, MO and Edward Ohrenberg of Alma, MO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
