Ivan D. Durkee Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ivan D. Durkee of Independence, Missouri, born in Bartlett, Nebraska, who passed away on January 2, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Daniel Durkee and Leta Powers Durkee; and his sisters, Lois Bardales, Elizabeth Cook and Ruth Anderson.
He is survived by: his son Ivan; his wife Joyce Garrigus; his children, Leta Witt (Lonnie) of Burlington, Kentucky, Dale Durkee (Eva) of Weippe and Alan Durkee (Betty) of Parker, Colorado; and his brother-in-law Rene Bardales. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Kansas Christian College or the Gregory Hills Church.
