He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Johnson, and Dorothy Johnson, Sr. (Atkins); his siblings, Dorothy Hedger, Charles Johnson Jr. and Jon Johnson; and his daughter JoAnne.
He is survived by: his wife Diann; his children, Gary Johnson Jr. (Michelle) and Teresa Herron (Mike Baker); and his grandchildren, Carolyn Johnson, Grant Johnson and Olivia Johnson.
