He is survived by: his sons, Robert Juan and Ryan Luis Paulson of Independence; his granddaughters, Clementine Rose and Angelica Louise Paulson of Kansas City, Missouri.; his former wife Juanita Reyes; his sister Denise Barbely; his sister-in-law Angela Paulson; and his cousins, LaVonne Ludke and Patty Phernetton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He also was a blood donor and donated 10 gallons over five years.
