He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Nelson and Edith Nelson (Myres); and his son Michael Nelson. He is survived by: his son Donald Nelson (Ruthie) of Iberia; his grandchildren, Scott Nelson (Burgandy) of Crocker, Kaitlyn Piggott (Darin) of Iberia and Kelli Hagenhoff (Brad) of Meta; his great grandchildren, Christopher Nelson, Ryan Nelson, Huxley Piggott, Abram Piggott, Darby Hagenhoff and Mercer Piggott; and his half-brother Jerry Nelson (Kathy) of Lebanon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
