She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Smith and Janice Smith (Baclesse); her husband Wayne Ponder; her brother Kent Smith; and her grandson Collin Colvin.

She is survived by: her children, Jeff Abbott of Eldon, Joe Abbott (Becky) of Tibbetts, Missouri, Lori Colvin (Scooter) of Iberia and Heather Fristoe (Tony) of Jackson City, Missouri; and her siblings, Alan Smith (Kathy) of Koeltztown, Greg Smith (Beverly) of Linn, Brad Smith (Donna) of East Prairie, Missouri and Bridget Leivan (Edmond, Jr.) of Linn, Missouri. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren.
