She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter B. Ward and Fleta Ward (Parr); her son Christopher Slavings; and her brothers, Richard and Stephen Wilsie.

She is survived by: her son Mike Slavings (Faith) of Huntsville; and her sisters, Dana Hayes (Randy), Sandra Dicus and Juanita Adams. She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
