She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie A. Welch and Ollie J. Welch; her husband James S. Garrett; her daughter Jamie L. Schlotzhauer; and her siblings, Virgil L. Anderson and Barbara M. Chapman.
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela S. Lukenbill (Jeffery) of Harrisonville, MO; her grandsons, Derek J. Schlotzhauer of Harrisonville, MO, Austin Garrett Schlotzhauer (Molly) of Belton, MO and Garrett Corbett Allen Lukenbill of Harrisonville, MO; and her great grandchildren, Hunter, Brody, Maverick, Malachi and Jayleigh Schlotzhauer.
