He is survived by: his daughters, Kristi Adair (Mike) of Harrisonville, MO and Kerry Uptergrove (Brant) of Tipton, MO; his siblings, Donna Nightingale (Troy) of Lake Elmo, MN, Mary McMahon (David) of Lee's Summit, MO and Rick Grooms of Lee's Summit, MO; and his grandchildren, Kage, Owen Adair, Lila, Hannah and Brant Uptergrove Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
