He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Madison McVay and Josie Abby McVay (Hess); and his siblings, George McVay, Betty Norton, Colleen Jenkins, Marjorie Bean and Doris McVay.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Sweet; his children, Susan Westmoreland (Frank Urton) of Archie, MO and Gene McVay of Archie, MO; and his grandchildren, Rick Dines, Jeremy McVay (Amanda), Scott McVay, Michael McVay (Mary), Mindy James (Ben), Will Urton (Molly) and Cassie Morrison (John). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
