It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James H. Atkins (Hannibal, Missouri), who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James H. Atkins to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Oney Atkins and Mabel Fountain Atkins; his brothers, Loren Atkins (Betty) and Donald Atkins (Ann); and his nephew Lester Paul Atkins.
He is survived by: his wife Mary L. Pults; his daughters, Kathy Baum (Jim) of Quincy, IL and Karla Cannon of Hannibal, MO; and his grandchildren, Melanie Harvey (Jeremy), Jenny Herbig (Jarad), Jenny Manchik (Seth), Jamie Hamilton (Ben), Brad Baum (Emily), Brooke Van Horn, Michael Van Horn (Ashley), Shawn Van Horn (Mary) and Adrianna Cannon. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren including an expectant great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
