She was predeceased by: her husband Willard "Van" Van Horne; her parents, William Pickett and Ruth Pickett; and her grandson Samuel Cross IV. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Lee Alan Van Horne, Jr., Elaine Van Horne, Samuel Cross III, Jared Cross, Ashley Coussens, Christopher Coussens, Terrance "Matt" Harris, Jr., Zachary Harris and Madelyn Harris; her great grandchildren, Samuel Eugene Cross IV, Addison Cross, Will Bennet Cross, Ben Huburt Cross and Charley Rose Coussens; her siblings, Anola Pickett (Peter Doyle), William Pickett (Marilyn), Terry Pickett (Johnny), Mary Vincent (Robert) and Thomas Pickett (Sarah); and also, Carolyn Cross (Samuel), Janice Van Horne and Sandra Harris (Terrance "Terry").
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or to the University of Kansas Health System via the Turning Point program for patients in need.
