He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Hess and Laura Hess (Williams); his son Billy Joe Hess; and his siblings, Verda Helen Mallory, Velma Jo Shelton, Dorothy Elizabeth Duncan, Donna Sue Neely, Marjorie Faye Metcalf, Loretta Hess, Robert Neil Hess, Leon Dean Hess and Harvey Leo Hess.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Sammi Jo; his wife Mary Catherine "Kathy" Hess (Moneymaker); his granddaughter Samantha Hess; his children, Shirley Moore (Jamie) of Wagoner, OK, Jill Rader (Garry) of Claremore, OK, Connie Roberts (Greg) of Talala, OK, Jessica Wallace of Springfield, MO and John Wallace (Liz) of Wyandotte, OK; and his brother Dick Hess (Janice) of Broken Arrow, OK. He is also survived by grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
