He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis "Buck" Chapman and Pearl Chapman (Solace); his daughter Terri George (Chapman); his granddaughter Jessica Lynn Chapman; and his siblings, Lela Pirtle, Stella Matthews, Avis Matthews, Oleatha Parsons, Judy Lankford and Sam Chapman.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Chapman (Grindstaff); his children, Rick Chapman (Susie) of New London, Hannibal of Missouri and Brad Chapman (Teresa) of Imperial, Missouri; his grandchildren, Sarah Spurgeon (Jarrod), Josh Chapman (Eleanor) and Rebekah Chapman; his great grandchildren, Luke, Cohen and Anisha Spurgeon; and his siblings, Bill Chapman (Peggy) of Fredericktown and Cathy Lewis of Hillsboro, Illinois..
