He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward Fritts and Velma Fritts (Kitchens); and his grandson Michael Jett. He is survived by: his wife Joyce (Mayberry); his siblings, Eva McKinley (John), Delores Maloney (Leo), Emma Hampton (Wilber), Wilma Neihouse (Herman), Barbara Ann Fritts, Wilfred Fritts (Helen) and Betty Killian (Bob); his children, Susan Jett (Steven), Jeffrey Fritts (Chris) and Scott Fritts (Sherry); his grandchildren, Brian Jett, Jennifer Williams (James), Alison Fritts, George Fritts, CJ Fritts and Gwendolyn Fritts; and his great grandchild Mary Joyce Williams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
