He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Hunter and Cora Hunter; his siblings, Charles Hunter, James Hunter, Robert Hunter, Fannie Rimel, Eva Hagen and Evelyn Hunter; his children, Myrtle Ellis and Michael Ray Hunter; his wife Helen Hunter; and also, Viola Watkins and Violet Watkins.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Shuford Smith (Bob) of Elsberry; his grandchildren, Kristy Seidel (Ray) of Aurora, IL, Mike Shuford (Stacy) of Elsberry and Molly Rosauer (Joel) of Marion, IA; and his great grandchildren, Zachary Seidel, Braedan Seidel, Kelsey Shuford, Cecelia Rosauer and Alice Rosauer.
